Today is our last day in town we are packing our bags and heading to Mexico for what we are hoping will be a 14 day Barrel Fiesta. We are going to that other heaving Mexican beach break you always see Brian Conley getting spat out at, any guesses?

Groveling at Cox Bay

So over it!! This is what we would call a pumping day in July/August around here. hah. Not quite, but we are all feeling like its time for all the tourists to filter out and some actual swell to start arriving. However, these small conditions do make it nice and easy to use the Fishbonker mounted GoPro:)

This is a fun sand bar we surfed a few weeks ago.

One fun sesh at Rosie with the crew. We did tradeoffs with two gopro cameras and had Kiel on the beach filming as well... Triple angle!!! For some reason a whole ton of seaweed had accumilated in the bay causing our leashed to become anchors after every wave. Everyone got a couple little nuggets though.

CWC 2010

This past October I was lucky enough to receive a local wildcard slot into the O'neill Cold Water Classic Canada. I had sold my favorite board the week before and got the word I was to compete with 3 days notice. So I shaped myself this board start to finish in one day! I didn't go too well in my heat but it was an inspiring experience competing at that level, and the board ended up being really fun.

Carcassfest

This is our trip to Mainland Mexico in 2008. For a lot of us it was our first time out of the country without parents. Brady Clarke met us down there for a week to shoot and write the Carcassfest story in the Summer 2009 issue of SBC Surf.

We did it in true grommet fashion with an 8 man crew all under 19 yrs old. Rycam, Kye, Janek, CC, Isaac, Frazer, Simon, and Oren.

We absolutely scored waves the whole month we were there. Here is a bit of what we got up to when we weren't surfing.

Rycam and Oren playing one of our favorite games during the
afternoon onshores. SURVIVAL on the mats. Basically just
getting smoked!

We had an ongoing bet that nobody could rub tiger balm on
their nuts and leave it there without showering. About 5 or 6
of us tried and couldn't do it so when we met this texan we
were so confident that the bet was up to $180 USD!!!
He ended up pulling it off so we payed him $80.

We got redirected to guadalajara, an 8 hour bus ride away,
